FAQs

What is somatic sexology?

Somatic sexology is a body-based approach to sexuality, intimacy, and self-connection.
It focuses on sensation, breath, movement, and nervous system regulation - not performance, pressure, or porn scripts.
This work helps you feel again. Safely. At your own pace.

What is a Sacred Sexologist?

A sacred sexologist is someone who works with the body, the nervous system, and the soul of sexuality - not just the act of sex.

This isn’t about technique or tips. It’s about helping you come home to your body. To feel safe, connected, and turned on - not performative, numb, or shut down.

I use somatic (body-based) tools to support women in exploring pleasure, desire, boundaries, and the parts of themselves they’ve been taught to ignore or suppress. We work gently, honestly, and at the pace your body chooses - not your mind.

Sacred sexology honours sexuality as something more than physical - it's energetic, emotional, spiritual. It’s where your nervous system, your truth, and your turn-on meet.

Is this therapy?

Nope. I’m not a therapist. This is not psychological counselling or trauma therapy.
My work is educational and experiential - grounded in science, embodiment, and consent.
You’re always in the driver’s seat. I’ll never diagnose, pathologise, or push you past your edges.

What happens in a session?

Every session is different. We begin with a somatic check-in, then follow what your body needs: breath, sound, movement, visualisation, sensation tracking, or nervous system tools.
This is not about “doing it right” - it’s about reconnecting with your truth in real-time.

Do I have to talk about my past or trauma?

Only if you want to. This work doesn’t require you to rehash your history.
We work with what’s present in your body today.
You’re in control the entire time.

Do you work with sexual trauma?

I am trauma-informed and experienced in working gently with disconnection, shutdown, and shame.
That said, I am not a clinical trauma therapist. If you are in active trauma response, I may refer you to a trauma specialist for deeper support.
Safety is the foundation of this work.

Is this work sexual? Will we talk about sex?

We absolutely can talk about sex - desire, boundaries, arousal, numbness, confusion, pleasure, shame... all of it is welcome.
But there’s no nudity, explicit content, or sexual activity in sessions. This is about you feeling safe and connected in your body.

Do you work with men or couples?

Right now, I work with women and femme-identifying clients only.
If you’re looking for couples support, feel free to reach out - I may be able to refer you to a trusted colleague.

How do online sessions work?

Sessions are held via Zoom. You’ll need a private, uninterrupted space, a stable internet connection, and a comfy place to sit or lie down.
Wear something you can move and breathe in. You don’t need to prepare anything else.

Do you record sessions?

No. Your session is private and confidential.
Recording can disrupt safety and intimacy - I want you to feel fully present, not performative.

I’m nervous / disconnected / feel broken. Is that normal?

Yes. Completely.
You don’t need to show up “healed” to begin. You just need to be open. I’ll meet you wherever you are.

What’s your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.

Can I book a one-off session or do I need a package?

You’re welcome to book a single session to start.
If deeper support feels aligned after that, we can talk about ongoing work together.
There’s no pressure - just presence.
